Gazprom starts pre-commissioning at Kovykta, to launch in Dec

MOSCOW, Oct 25 (PRIME) -- Russian gas giant Gazprom has started pre-commissioning work at the Kovykta field, expects its commissioning in December 2022, the company said in a statement on Tuesday in its Telegram channel.

“Today, as planned, gas was supplied for pre-commissioning works at the comprehensive gas unit No. 2, one of the key facilities of the Kovykta field and the Kovykta-Chayanda section of the Sila Sibiri gas pipeline,” the statement read.

The Kovykta field is the largest in Eastern Siberia field, with recoverable reserves of 1.8 trillion cubic meters of gas and 65.7 million tonnes of gas condensate.
